Was ist TPE-Kunststoff?

TPE-Kunststoffmaterial, vollständiger Name ist thermoplastisches Elastomer, ist die allgemeine Bezeichnung für ein thermoplastisches Elastomermaterial.

TPE-Material ist eine neue Art von Gummi- und Kunststoffmaterial, das in der Gummiindustrie als „Gummi der vierten Generation“ bekannt ist. TPE-Materialien ersetzen PVC, bestimmte Silikone und Gummi, sind weit verbreitet in der Automobilindustrie, medizinischen Geräten, Sportgeräten.

Alle TPE-Materialien enthalten starre Kettensegmente und flexible Gummiketten, ähnlich wie Kunststoff. TPE-Kunststoffmaterial umfasst SEBS, SBS und modifizierte Materialien solcher Elastomere (SEBS und PP gemischt, auch als thermoplastisches Styrol-Elastomer TPE-S bezeichnet), TPU (thermoplastisches Polyurethan), TPEE (thermoplastisches Polyester-Elastomer), TPV (thermoplastischer Sulfidkautschuk, PP und EPDM) und TPO, TPAE usw.
